IASIS PHARMA manufacturing facilities, Koropi, Athens
On Friday, November 25th, 2022, IASIS PHARMA welcomed at its new manufacturing facilities in Koropi, 60 students of Arsakeiο High school, as part of an educational visit.
Company executives gave students a tour of the facilities, referring both to the key-operational functions and the special features that characterize IASIS PHARMA pharmaceutical industry; constant development, with emphasis on the quality and safety of its produced medicines.
Initially, students were informed about the dynamics of the Greek pharmaceutical industry and the high quality of the Greek medicines in general. A presentation of the company and its new, state-of-the-art production facilities at Koropi followed, pointing out IASIS PHARMA intense and steadily increasing export activity in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Oceania. The presentation was concluded by expressing the importance of Research & Development for the company, with a special reference to Chios Mastic Research & Development Center, in which IASIS PHARMA is a key partner.
Then, carefully following all the hygiene and safety measures required in the pharmaceutical industry, the students put on the appropriate clothes and with the guidance of the company’s relevant staff, a tour of the production facilities was carried out.
While being inside the facilities, students reached the Quality Control and the Research & Development departments. There, IASIS PHARMA related staff explained the parameters necessary for the proper functioning of these departments, but also the attention that the company pays in the importance of developing innovative pharmaceutical products and forms.
We, at IASIS PHARMA, sincerely hope that the visit of the Arsakeio’s students will be a valuable experience for their future careers, focusing on the manufacturing sector, which is pivotal for the country’s economical development. We do believe that they understood the dynamics and the quality of Greek medicines, which -of course- can only be achieved through intense, responsible and systematic work.
