On Saturday, April 29^th 2023, the Mastic Research Center (M.R.C.) opening was held in Kallimasia of Chios. Many people was present such as from the medical, pharmaceutical, business, political and academic field, as well as the mastic producers and guests.

This project will be a reliable body that will coordinate academic interests and scientific research on Mastic. The budget started at €2.5 million but exceeded €3 million, while the main construction period lasted 18 months.

Mr. Konstantinos Ganiaris, President of the Mastic Research Center, warmly thanked the shareholders of M.R.C., specifically the Chios Mastic Producers Association, MEDITERRA, IASIS PHARMA HELLAS, PharmaQ and PHARMAGNOSE, for their participation to the vision accomplishment.

In his short introduction, Mr. Konstantinos Pachis, CEO and President of IASIS PHARMA HELLAS, noted that the M.R.C. is a rare example of the partnership of five different organizations with complementary purposes and is the basis of the creation of a knowledge ark and research for Chios Mastic pharmaceutical use.

“We aspire to create an international state of art center that will be a scientific hub with significant benefits for the local community and the country” he said.

IASIS PHARMA HELLAS contribution to the Mastic Research Center aims to produce innovative products, which will built goodwill & meet the Health Care Needs.
